I stayed at his house at 1339 Miller Drive in hollywood for a period of time, when he was recording Reason to Believe etc, there was no furniture in the house, and in the hall closet, was an envelope with the words to MIsty Roses, hanging on a coat hook, should have taken it, he used my martin D 18 to record that album.

To Khayyam, How do you know what Timmy stood for as a musician and especially as a human being?, as far as Southern Cal, being cocaine drenched, Timmy had a long history of drug problems, Morphine, cocaine, heroin which is well known and  I would not bring it up but for you blasting a whole of So Cal for something that Timmy himself had problems with ,so why mention it if you know so much about him.

Three Dog Night covered this on their first album, so I put both in my TDN playlist. Thanks for the upload!

I think that must be the famous Susan Moore (the lady who came from Baltimore). Tim Hardin is the gold standard for singer/songwriters - how he must have despaired of all the "mellow" dreck to come out of cocaine-drenched SoCal in the 70s - a betrayal of everything he stood for as a musician and a human being.
