I used to see Donald with the Blackbirds on the near north side of Chicago years ago when Chicago was a fun place to go before black people figured out it was more fun to kill each other than to go enjoy some good music. They would walk through the audience and hand you a mike and let you sing a couple of lines of a song if you knew the words which of course I did I have a very deep bass voice and the Blackbirds liked it when I got a chance to show it off
